          THE LOCATION

Our weekend takes us to a remote, luxury property in California's Joshua Tree desert. Located just outside of Joshua Tree National Park, we will have a beautiful property with plenty of space all to ourselves.

Each student will have their own bedroom, complete with a queen bed. Included in the house are two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, and much more. We will be doing most (if not all) of our imaging and classroom sessions from this beautiful and remote location.

Please note this itinerary is subject to change, this is here to give you an idea of what to expect.*
Our workshop begins at 2:00pm with a meet and greet at our accommodation. We will go over equipment, software, and camera settings as we wait for night. Once it is completely dark, we begin our first night of photography. We use the star tracker and telescopes to photograph the Andromeda Galaxy.
Our first classroom session will be an introduction to the programs and methods we use to create astrophotography images. Next, we'll enjoy a magical and enchanting sunset as we wait for it to get dark. We then break out the telescopes and trackers and photograph the Orion nebula. A night classroom session will be about processing images.
Classroom session begins directly after lunch. After class it’s time to get more imaging time on the sky as we go after the Pleiades star cluster. Night classroom sessions begin to help hone your processing skills.
We wrap up our amazing few days with a morning meeting to go over any final questions before we say our goodbyes!

*The itinerary may change based on what conditions are during the workshop.

The goal is to leave you feeling confident, motivated and passionate about astrophotography! You will learn simple and actionable techniques, with the skills and resources to ensure you can do astrophotography on your own.

Space is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. Sign up before this event fills up!
